Fable of the mustard seed
Last time, they asked her for her child.
Last time, she said yes.
Something in the world shifted when she did.
Not loudly.
Not all at once.
Quietly.
Through things no one fully understands.
Long before this moment, strange objects had already begun appearing across the land.
Small things. Harmless at first glance.
No one knows where they came from.
No one agrees on what they are.
People call them Anu.
Some believe they are toys.
Some believe they are relics.
Some believe they are accidents left behind by the gods.
But everyone agrees on one thing:
They change what happens around them.
The Anu do not choose people.
People choose what they become… once they touch them.
And some choices never truly end.
Some choices return.
A memory that should have stayed buried is being asked again.
The same question.
The same child.
This time, saying no may change everything.
This is where it begins.
